Cavendish is a Common Joker that provides Multiplicative Mult to all hands played. With many other similar cards having an activation requirement or warranting scaling, Cavendish's immediate and unconditional X3 Mult makes it among the best in its class, arguably the best Common Joker, and potentially one of the best in the game.
Obtaining this potassium bomb is not particularly straightforward, however: in order for Cavendish to appear anywhere, 
Gros Michel needs to destroy itself through its own effect first during the same run. It also comes with a minuscule, but potentially devastating risk inherited from its more fragile ancestor, in the form of a 1 in 1000 chance to destroy itself at the end of the round, which can deprive the player of most of their scoring power. While it can potentially be rediscovered more easily, this is hard to guarantee unless the player has a huge amount of money they can justify cutting into.
Synergies[]
Decks[]
This Joker works well with any of the Decks, as it gives a strong X3 Mult to every hand played. Since the chance of Cavendish destroying itself is only 0.1%, one can safely ignore this possibility with 99.9% confidence.
Poker Hands[]
Any hand can benefit from this Joker for the same reasons that any of the Decks can, although a stronger hand with a higher base Mult will generally work better. One should focus on their most Levelled poker hands, if possible, and/or their most played hand while also using 
Supernova.
Jokers[]
- Additive Mult Jokers capable of scaling really shine with the help of a Joker like this one. However, the ones dependent on playing repeated numbers of hands are less ideal due to its extreme and universal power. For this reason, Jokers that depend on non-hand actions, like
Fortune Teller and Flash Card, work exceptionally well. - Blueprint and Brainstorm: Copying the ability of this Joker gives an unconditional X9 Mult, which even Canio struggles to reach in a single run. The former of the two generally works better than the latter, as it will multiply the bonuses from all Additive Mult Jokers as well. If all sources of Additive Mult are 'when scored' effects, there is effectively no difference unless the player has any Holographic Jokers, in which case Blueprint is still better.
- Oops! All 6s: Technically has anti-synergy with this Joker, since it doubles its chance of self-destruction to a 1 in 500 chance. This is still so small that it would only have an effect in, in the absolute worst-case scenario, 1 out of ~22.73 runs, assuming Gros Michel was obtained from the first Shop, broke after the first round, then both these Jokers were somehow obtained in the second Shop (and that no Blinds were skipped, on top of that). Therefore, if you want to use it to boost the strength of your chance-dependent Jokers like Bloodstone, you can do so without worrying too much about this Joker.
Trivia[]
- The disease-resistant Cavendish banana cultivar makes up the vast majority of bananas consumed around the world. It was introduced after the previous cultivar, the Gros Michel, was devastated by a fungal pandemic in the 1960s. A similar disaster could occur to wipe out the Cavendish bananas, but more care and preventative measures are in place to stop this from reoccurring. This is represented by the Joker's powerful bonus, the highly unlikely chance of self-destruction, and the requirement for Gros Michel to first go extinct.
- The waves of energy radiating from the banana in Cavendish's art may be a reference to how bananas are very faintly radioactive.
