15 Minute City is a Challenge Deck. It adds a second copy of every face card by replacing all the Aces, 2s and 3s.

Starting Contents[]

The starting jokers are an Eternal Ride the Bus Ride the Bus, and an Eternal Shortcut Shortcut.

The starting deck contains 52 cards in total, consisting of 24 face cards (eight Jacks, eight Queens, eight Kings), and 28 non-face cards (four through ten in each of the four suits).

Synergies[]

Due to the way this Challenge is set up, players can opt to two strategies: Scale Ride the Bus by playing Straight with number cards, or just focus on building around Face Cards, which means ignoring the two starting Jokers altogether.

  • Jokers that synergize with the easier to make Straights such as Runner Runner or The Order The Order.
  • Face-card buffing Jokers such as Photograph Photograph or Sock and Buskin Sock and Buskin due to the extra face cards.
  • Jokers that rely on specific face cards like Shoot the Moon Shoot the Moon, Baron Baron, Triboulet Triboulet or Hit the Road Hit the Road benefit from this deck as well, as they essentially have twice the amount of their required face cards, and (in the case of King- and Queen- based jokers) twice as much lower cards which can be affected with Tarot Strength Strength

Anti-Synergies[]

  • It is not recommended to use Hack Hack or Fibonacci Fibonacci due to the lack of Aces, 2s and 3s.
  • Similarly, Scholar Scholar and Wee Joker Wee Joker are downright useless.
  • Joker Stencil Joker Stencil caps at X3 Mult in this challenge due to the two starting eternal Jokers.
  • Due to the increased amount of face cards, The Plant The Plant and The Mark The Mark can become particularly deadly.

Trivia[]

  • The deck's name could be referring to the nature of using an actual Shortcut or bus (from Ride the Bus) to traverse a city quicker.
