Deck manipulation refine the formula, let say a scientist is boring but a mad scientist always make up for good stories, how about becoming one having both knowledge and power, being allowed to cheat just because you can ? ;)

So here's deck manipulation 101, put the basics to good use and add your own twist !!!

Main tools at your disposal[]

Tarot Cards[]

  • Lovers - Enhances 1 selected card into a Wild card.
  • Strength - Increases the rank of 2 selected cards by 1.
  • Hanged man - Destroys up to 2 selected cards.
  • Death - With 2 cards selected, it converts the left card into a copy of the right card.
  • Star/Moon/Sun/World - change 3 cards to a specific suit.

Spectral Cards[]

  • Familiar - Destroy 1 random card in your hand, but add 3 random Enhanced face cards instead
  • Grim - Destroy 1 random card in your hand, but add 2 random Enhanced Aces instead
  • Incantation - Destroy 1 random card in your hand, but add 4 random Enhanced numbered cards instead
  • Sigil - Converts every card in your hand to a single, random Suit.
  • Ouija - Converts every card in your hand to a single, random Rank, but reduces total hand size by 1.
  • Immolate - Destroys 5 random cards in hand, but gain $20.
  • Cryptid - Creates 2 exact copies (including Enhancements) of a selected card in your hand.

Quick overview of some advanced tools[]

Jokers[]

  • DNA DNA - If first hand of round is only 1 card, add a copy to the deck permanently, and then draw it to hand.
  • Perkeo Perkeo - Create a Negative copy of 1 random Consumable card in your possession at the end of the shop.
  • Invisible Joker Invisible Joker - Duplicates a random Joker when sold, but only after two Rounds.
  • Brainstorm Brainstorm - Copies the ability of leftmost Joker
  • Blueprint Blueprint - Copies ability of Joker to the right.
  • Trading Card Trading Card - If first discard of round has only 1 card, destroy it and earn $3
  • Sixth Sense Sixth Sense - If the first played hand of the round is a single 6, destroy it and create a Spectral card, if you have room.

Tarot Cards[]

  • Fool - Creates a copy of the last Tarot or Planet card used during this run
  • Emperor - Creates 2 random Tarot cards, or less if there is insufficient space

Poker Hands and how they could get modded[]

  • Multiples (pairs, 3/4/5 of a kind, full house) - turn odd cards into even cards, maybe 10 to J and K to Ace, make duplicates, use aces/face spectral cards
  • Straights - destroy cards not being in the straight you wanna play
  • Flushes - Use a wild cards on aces for easier royal flush and A/2/3/4/5 straight flushes or on 6 if you focus on numbered cards straights flushes, shift cards not of suit you want to play into a specific suit, high hand size maybe could morph more cards out of sigil.
