Dusk triggers all played cards in the final hand twice, effectively doubling their scored chips and any potential enhancement they have, like Bonus, Mult, Foil, Holographic, and Polychrome.
Synergies[]
Decks[]
- Does not work very well with the Green Deck, since this deck gives no interest, instead gaining $2/Hand and $1/Discard remaining. Using all your hands to trigger Dusk means losing most of your income.
- Black Deck: Since this deck reduces the player's available hands by -1, it can be easier to play to the final hand of the round and thus trigger Dusk more frequently over the course of a run
Poker Hands[]
Dusk works best with five card hands, such as Flushes and Straights, due to these giving Dusk more cards to retrigger, thus giving a higher score.
Jokers[]
- Dusk synergies best with Hack when playing low-ranked cards, as they allow each card to be triggered three times.
- Blueprint and Brainstorm can copy Dusk as well, effectively tripling its effect.
- Acrobat is a good pair with Dusk, provided players have a lot of Mult cards and +Mult Jokers ready for the final hand.
- Troubadour decreases the number of hands you have by 1, which makes Dusk activate earlier. Additionally, the increased hand size helps with finding good cards for a specific hand.
Trivia[]
- Dusk is usually considered to be the time near the end of twilight, before night begins. There are technically three 'stages' of dusk and twilight, depending on the light levels being considered: civil dusk, nautical dusk, and astronomical dusk.
- The card art depicts saguaro cacti, which grow only in the Sonoran desert; the area is known for its brilliant sunsets.
