Mime is an uncommon Joker that retriggers all held in hand effects. This includes all gold and steel cards and blue seals in hand, along with retriggering the effects of specific Jokers.
Synergies[]
Decks[]
The Painted Deck has more hand space and can thus use Mime more effectively.
Poker Hands[]
- High Card is by far the best hand to use Mime with, due to you holding more cards in hand for Mime to activate.
- Pair and Three of a Kind can also work for the same reasons, albeit less effectively.
Jokers[]
- Mime synergies well with Baron, Raised Fist, Reserved Parking, and Shoot the Moon, due to them each causing held cards to give bonuses, and Mime ends up doubling that bonus.
- When combined with Baron and using Plasma Deck, players can achieve the elusive Naneinf score.
- Mime can also work well with Steel Joker, due to them both greatly benefiting from a high quantity of steel cards in the deck.
- Blueprint/ Brainstorm: If Blueprint or Brainstorm is copying a different joker when a hand is played, and then moved to copy Mime as the hand is being scored, the Blueprint/Brainstorm will copy Mime when it retriggers Blue Seals/Gold Cards.
- Mime benefits from jokers that increase hand size, such as Juggler and Troubadour, due to them allowing more cards with "Held in Hand" abilities to be active at once.
Anti-Synergies[]
Decks[]
Because 3 of the 4 jokers that work with Mime use only face cards, the Abandoned Deck deck has a harder time using Mime.
Jokers[]
Mime suffers from Jokers that reduce hand size, such as Stuntman and Merry Andy, due to them lowering the number of cards with "Held in Hand" abilities able to be active at once.
Trivia[]
- The art of mime originated in ancient Greece, with the classic white face and makeup being popularized in 19th-century France. Berets like those worn by our Joker here are also popular in France!
- Notably, Mime does not affect Blackboard despite its ability having the "held in hand" description.
