Shortcut allows Straights to be made with one or more gaps of 1 rank between cards (ex: 2 4 5 7 9). Like normal, Shortcut still does not allow "wrapping" Straights, so Aces remain either high or low and not both.
Synergies[]
Decks[]
- Abandoned Deck lowers the range of card values from A-K to A-10, making it significantly more likely to draw a Straight, especially with Shortcut.
- Checkered Deck in tandem with Shortcut increases the likelihood of finding a playable Straight Flush.
Poker Hands[]
Jokers[]
- Four Fingers is a great combination with Shortcut, as this allows for a 4-length Straight with gaps, and Straight Flushes become even easier to make since the Straight and Flush don't need to be on the same 4 cards. (e.g. Qā ļø Jā ļø 9ā„ļø 7ā ļø 3ā ļø is a valid Straight Flush with both Jokers in effect)
- Crazy Joker and The Order both give Mult when a Straight is played.
- Devious Joker and Runner both give Chips when a Straight is played.
- Superposition and SĆ©ance both create Consumables when a Straight is played.
Trivia[]
- Shortcut's artwork subtly includes a joker's face, the hanging wires being the smile, and the curved hat in the clouds.
