Smeared Joker is a Joker which makes Diamonds and Hearts count as the same suit, and Clubs and Spades count as the same suit. This effect applies to all Jokers and Blinds which have an effect based on suit.

Decks[]
Works in most decks, but should be avoided with the Checkered Deck, as it is split between two suits that do not combine due to the Smeared Joker.
Painted Deck's hand size of 10 makes it so that there will always be a Flush in hand with Smeared Joker. However, with Painted Deck's fewer Joker slots, keeping effect Jokers like Smeared Joker can be risky.

Generally, Any Joker that takes effect upon cards of certain suits will benefit from Smeared Joker, by activating on more cards, including:
- Lusty Joker and Greedy Joker - Each Diamond or Heart provides +3 Mult.
- Wrathful Joker and Gluttonous Joker - Each Club or Spade provides +3 Mult.
- Bloodstone - Each Diamond or Heart has a 1 in 2 chance to provide a X1.5 Mult.
- Rough Gem - Each Diamond or Heart provides $1.
- Onyx Agate - Each Club or Spade provides +7 Mult.
- Arrowhead - Each Club or Spade provides +50 Chips.
- Ancient Joker - Diamonds and Hearts can be played interchangeably. Clubs and Spades can be played interchangeably.
- Castle - Diamonds and Hearts can be discarded interchangeably. Clubs and Spades can be discarded interchangeably.
- Seeing Double - Clubs and Spades based Flushes will still trigger the X2 Mult effect.
- Flower Pot - Only two Clubs or Spades and two Diamonds or Hearts need to be played to trigger the X3 Mult effect.
- Séance - Since playing Straight Flushes becomes a lot more common with Smeared Joker, you can create Spectral Cards much easier this way.
There are other Jokers that work together well with Smeared Joker:
- Juggler, Troubadour and Turtle Bean - With a hand size of 9, there will always be a Flush in hand.

Trivia[]
- This card's name and design are a reference to how in a normal playing cards deck, Clubs and Spades are the same color, just like Diamonds and Hearts. As such, if the actual symbol of the suit was smeared and illegible, it would be difficult to tell them apart.
- Due to the letters being smeared, this Joker is one of the only Jokers to not contain the word "Joker" in its sprite.
