The Square Joker is a common Joker which provides a chips bonus that increases by +4 Chips every time you play a hand with only four cards. The four cards played do not have to score, and all four can be debuffed.
This Joker cannot receive the Perishable sticker.

Plasma Deck: Due to the balancing feature, Square Joker can be very beneficial if picked up early and scaled adequately throughout the run.
Poker Hands[]
Four of a Kind, Three of a Kind, Two Pair, Pair, and High Card are all hands which can be played with four cards or fewer. Hands that require fewer than 4 cards can be padded with non-scoring cards to increase this Joker's Chips bonus.
Flushes, Straights, and Straight Flushes can synergize with this Joker if 
Four Fingers is also present.
Jokers[]
- Four Fingers: Allows Straights and Flushes to be made with only four cards.
- Splash: Allows High Cards to score with all 4 cards, providing more bonus.
- Spare Trousers: Requires Two Pairs hand to scale, which is exactly 4 cards.
Boss Blinds[]
- This Joker is easily distinguishable when played against Amber Acorn, as it retains its unique shape even when flipped face-down.
In general, the only time Square Joker will not scale or score is when a hand is not allowed. Boss Blinds that can prevent specific hands are:
- The Eye: No repeat hand types this round
- The Mouth: Only one hand type can be played this round
- The Psychic: Must play 5 cards
Trivia[]
- The artwork of this Joker is an exaggerated version of pixel art (with pixels being the individual squares that make up such art), which is slightly ironic considering all the artwork in this game is in that style. Even the "Joker" text on the card has been squared off, with chunky letters.
- The value 4 is a square number, which are numbers made by multiplying one number with itself. 4 is 22, or 2×2.
- The Joker's sprite is also exactly a square, being 138x138 pixels.
- This Joker is part of a set that doesn't adhere to the standard joker size, along with Wee Joker, Photograph, and Half Joker.
